The 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo Beijing Initiative
The 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was opened in Beijing, China on July 16, 2025. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and representatives of the global business community reached a consensus under the theme "Connecting the World for a Shared Future", and jointly issued the following initiative after in-depth exchange and discussion.
Safeguarding the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains. The global business community should firmly uphold the multilateral trading system, ensure stable and smooth operation of global industrial and supply chains, and maintain an open and cooperative international environment; practice true multilateralism, champion openness and inclusiveness, firmly uphold the rule-based multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization (WTO) as its foundation, strengthen global industrial and supply chain security, jointly create a fair, open, and predictable market environment, and promote global division of labor and cooperation; dismantle barriers that fragment trade, investment, technology and services, safeguard the global free trade system, reject the politicization of economic issues or artificial disruption of global markets, and collaboratively build more equitable, inclusive, and constructive partnerships in industrial and supply chains.
Adhering to innovation-driven development. The global business community should seize the opportunities presented by the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, strengthen exchange and cooperation in frontier fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum information, and life sciences, and foster an open, fair and non-discriminatory innovation ecosystem; deepen integration of technological and industrial innovation, establish an enterprise-led innovation system that bridges industry, academia, research, and application, and accelerate the transformation of technological achievements into real productivity, to provide stronger momentum for the recovery and development of the world economy; improve global technology governance, strengthen intellectual property protection, and facilitate the global flow and sharing of innovation to benefit all.
Accelerating the development of digital-intelligent supply chains. The global business community should leverage new technologies such as AI, the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain to advance the digitalization, intelligence, and visualization of supply chains, promote data interconnection and business interoperability across entire supply chains, improve digital transformation services for the manufacturing industry, and create closer and mutually beneficial ecosystems connecting upstream and downstream partners; encourage leading enterprises to support SME development and expand supply chain networks, build a unified public service platform for digital-intelligent supply chains, empower SMEs to collectively address risks and challenges, and establish a healthy and sustainable supply chain ecosystem. We expect that all countries could deepen collaboration in digital-intelligent supply chains, develop and implement international standards for key digital supply chain areas, promote the interoperability of digital standards, and bridge the digital and intelligence divides, creating better conditions for international trade, investment and cooperation.
Building a green sustainable supply chain. The global business community should accelerate implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, advance human wellbeing and climate governance, abide by WTO rules and multilateral environmental agreements, and avoid adopting discriminatory green economic policies in the name of addressing climate change; we should develop green low-carbon economies, adopt environmentally-friendly technologies and sustainable production methods, promote application of green technologies in key areas such as agriculture and energy, accelerate green transition of development models, protect ecosystems and biodiversity, and systematically advance cooperation in the new energy industry chain, enhance corporate green electricity consumption worldwide, strengthen technical exchange in renewable energy, clean energy, carbon capture and utilization, and green fuels, promote mutual recognition of green certification rules and standards, and build a new win-win model for green energy transition.
Deepening cooperation within the global business community. The global business community should fully leverage their innovative capacity and resource integration capability, deepen exchange and mutual learning through platforms such as CISCE, to build a symbiotic and mutually beneficial industrial ecosystem; we encourage trade and investment promotion agencies and business associations in all countries fully play their role as bridges and connectors, help enterprises explore cooperation potential in traditional sectors and emerging industries, provide precise and professional services, establish more cooperation platforms, continuously optimize national business environments, support the “dual-engine” development of trade and investment, promote the “two-wing” advancement of traditional and emerging industries, and facilitate the “two-chain integration” of industrial and supply chains.
We warmly welcome more business communities from various countries to join our initiative, take concrete actions to deepen international cooperation in industrial and supply chains and jointly promote stronger, greener, and healthier global development.
